FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    What is Safe food

Food which is non-toxic and nutritious for the everyone is safe food. It should be chemical free, adulteration free and even excessive processing free. So organic, naturally grown     food is safe food; from a farm produce which ensures safety not just of consumers and the farmers, but also farm animals, soil microorganisms and overall environment as well.     Residue-Free food hence we consider as not Safe, as it’s just safe for consumer but not safe for the soil and farmers.

How do we know its really Safe food

    a. The best certification is to know the source of food. KYF or Know Your Farmer. Do visit the farms once in a while. It is a good idea to join in their harvest and have a meal together.

    b. Buy from authentic sources, that are transparent about the source of their supplies and share the farm details with you.

    c. Taste of organic food is different. The looks might not be good as Nature offers diversity. Accept the diversity and embrace the food with all 5 senses and not just looks.

    d. It takes less time to cook organic veggies while the grains take more time to cook.

    e. You will soon notice the amount of food consumed by you, when you switch to organic is less, as a small portions suffices body needs. Oil, rice, tomatoes or onions you can observe significant difference

    f. Organic food is also loved by pests as they are chemical preservative free, so it needs more care whilst preserving at home. Use Fridge to preserve the pulses and clean grains regularly

    Why is Organic Food costly

    a.   Organic food is grown in sync with biodiversity (multi-cropping) which makes entire process labour intensive. Monocropping can be mechanised and can make the process less expensive. Adding urea or chemical pesticide spraying is a simpler process than adding cow dung layers; mulching with leaves. Labour is costlier than chemicals. Also, weeds are removed manually, as herbicide cannot be used in organic farming

    b.   Farmers get subsidies to buy chemicals and do mono cropping, but for Organic or naturally grown they make their own fertilisers and pesticides at Farm, which is not subsidised

    c. Birds and animals love safely grown food, so a sizable portion does go to them. Also, true-blue organic farmers do not deter them, infact they gladly allow them to take their share

    d. The storage of naturally grown food needs continuous monitoring to prevent pests since they are not laced with deadly chemicals. Many of the organic farmers use our traditional method of storage, which can keep food pest free for about an year

    e. The demand for certification also levies a price addition on organic food. So we advocate Know Your Farmer and Trust him rather than some paper work

    f. And most importantly; Investing on food for good health is better than spending on medicines for restoring it. Choice is yours – Pay the farmers, or the doctors!

    Refunds / Returns Policy

Any produce that you could not consume due to quality issues, please message a photograph and detail the issue on 8888846659 and we will refund the amount

Our request is to be sensitive to the fact that Farmers have grown their produce with utmost care, so if a part of the produce is bad, and the remaining can be consumed, please opt for it. It’s definitely safe to consume even if there’s small pest in a part of the produce.

Grains need regular cleaning. Pulses are advised to be kept in Fridge or cooler air tight areas. If you have purchased the grains over 30 days back and they are infested; we expect you to please clean and consume.

What if I get a difference in weight of the produce?

Every fruit and vegetable varies a little in size and weight. While you shop we show an estimated weight and price for everything priced by kilogram. At the time of delivery we weigh each item to determine final price. This could vary by 5% at maximum. Therefore if you have shopped for something that costs Rs. 100 per kg, and we delivery 1.2 kg of the product to you (e.g. Cabbage, Ash Gourd), you will still be charged for the actual quantity of the produce. In case the weight of the product is lesser than what you ordered, you will pay correspondingly less.

What is My account

My Account on our website or app, which allows you to track your Orders, Invoices, Payments, Credit Note details,Packing Materials, if any  as well as see your order history and update your contact details.

How do I recover Password

Your password can be recovered by entering your login details, email id or phone number. An OTP will be received by you which will help you recover your password.

What is credit note

Sometimes we do not get some fresh produce you have ordered or some grains are out of stock on the delivery date. In such case there is a difference in your ordered value and invoice value. If you have paid in advance, this difference will reflect as a credit note in your account which can be adjusted against your next order.
